Reflections on Good Friday

Isa535
Original painting and photo by my very talented brother-in-law.

“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain…

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

~Isaiah 53:3-6

  1. It’s a small (blogging) world after all! I had a few moments this morning to read through some blogs I was behind on from this crazy EASTER week. I was reading through Amanda’s most recent Desire to Inspire post and was getting ready to comment when I saw a picture that looked like you….and it was you!! Fancy meeting you here….I will be following along with you via bloglovin’ and of course church, my friend! Have a great Friday!
