As a mom to two busy teens, family consumes most of my time and all of my energy. My resume currently includes: homeschool educator, meal planner and chef, chauffeur, counselor (academic and emotional…LOL!), and overall cruise director and attitude of adjustor. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Parenthood is hard. Intentional parenting–making a priority of discipling our children, teaching them to follow after Christ, and shaping their character–is even more difficult. Fortunately, we do not have to do it alone.

Why Christian School
Food is a big part of our family life, as I’m sure it is with yours.
I’m passionate about providing food for my family that nourishes both body and soul. I like simple, easy-to-prepare recipes with ingredients I am familiar with (and if they’re already in my pantry, even better!). As a cancer patient and the mother of a child with multiple food allergies, my interest in food has taken an interesting turn in the last few years.
I am not an Iron Chef. I’m not even a “foodie.” I’m a girl who has a genetic love affair with chocolate and a life-long battle for a healthy weight. This is where I share my favorite recipes, what I’ve learned about nutrition and food allergies, and where to learn more. I hope you find it helpful. Bon appétit and pass the chocolate!
