I came across a post last week asking readers to comment and leave a list of their bests of 2012. That got me thinking about what I would consider my “bests” of this last year. It’s been so easy to focus on the difficulties these last few months; it was much more refreshing to look back over the great moments of this year. So, as we close out 2012, here they are, in my opinion, some of the “Bests of 2012”:
Best Book: The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson
(P.S. It’s on sale right now at Christianbook.com)
Best Song: Cornerstone by Hillsong
Best Family Memory: Silver Dollar City at Christmas
Best Parenting Moment(s): Praying with my Little Man to ask Jesus into his heart over breakfast; hearing my Little Miss quote Bible verses she’s memorized for church.
Best Indulgence(s): It was a tie between Candied Pecans (thank you, Kelly@Live.Laugh.Rowe!) and Candy Cane Mocha Fudge Truffles (thank you Sarah@DessertPlanet.com!)
Best Escape: Downton Abbey (need I say more?)
Best Movie: Les Miserables
(Note: It’s a dark and dreary tale, for sure. The PG-13 rating should
definitely be heeded. However, it’s also an incredible story
of grace, both received and given. More on that coming soon!)
Best New Gadget (for my non-techy self, anyway): My Kindle! (Thank you, Hubby!)
Best New Adventure: Launching There is Grace
Best Moment of 2012: Hearing the words “negative biopsy”
and rejoicing in two years cancer free!
How about you…what have some of your “bests” been in 2012?
